Sie will mit dem kleinsten finanziellen Aufwand die größten Gewinne machen. Das Leben der Menschen interessiert sie dabei wenig. Dass die produzierenden Leute in der Dritten Welt unter lebensgefährlichen Bedingungen arbeiten, oder mit gesundheitlichen Folgen, wird nicht beachtet. Die Menschen in der Wirtschaft beruhigen ihr Gewissen damit, dass sie diesen produzierenden Menschen schließlich Arbeit und Lohn bringen. Selbst vor Kinderarbeit wird nicht zurückgeschreckt<br /> <br /> Wenn die in den Medien kursierenden Angaben stimmen, verdient ein Topmanager einer Sportmarke im Jahr mehr Geld, als alle für diese Firma produzierende Menschen in einem asiatischen Land zusammen. <br /> <br /> Wir, die Kunden, bekommen davon nichts mit. Geschieht es doch in fernen Ländern, oft auf einem anderen Kontinent. Nur wenn man darauf gestoßen wird oder gezielt danach recherchiert, erfahren wir davon.<br /> <br /> Das heutige Evangelium spricht sehr deutlich von Gerechtigkeit. Diese gilt es nicht nur innerhalb der Familie oder der Nation zu leben, sondern im Zeitalter der Globalisierung auch von einer weltweiten Gerechtigkeit. Bezeichnend ist die Antwort Jesu an die Soldaten: „Misshandelt niemand, erpresst niemand, begnügt euch mit eurem Sold!“ Mit anderen Worten: Niemand soll seine Macht missbrauchen, weder die militärische noch die wirtschaftliche.<br /> <br /> Doch was kann da ein einfacher Bürger schon tun, dass globale Gerechtigkeit Wirklichkeit wird? Ganz einfach: Es liegt an jedem Einzelnen von uns, was wir kaufen und wo wir einkaufen.<br /> <br /> Fair gehandelte Waren zu kaufen sind ein einfacher und für jeden gangbaren Weg, um sicherzustellen, dass das für die Waren ausgegebene Geld zum Großteil auch beim Erzeuger ankommt. Bei Lebensmitteln kann man dazu noch davon ausgehen, dass fair gehandelte Produkte sind, die bei uns als „Bio“ eingestuft werden. Es gibt auch inzwischen große Handelskonzerne, die fair gehandelte Waren in ihr Angebot aufgenommen haben. <br /> <br /> Darüber hinaus können wir bei Geschäften nachfragen, ob sie nicht fair gehandelte Waren mit in ihr Angebot aufnehmen wollen. Je mehr Menschen nachfragen, desto größer ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass fair gehandelte Waren mit in das Sortiment aufgenommen werden.
